The Development Authority is the bonding agency for Revenue Bonds for financing industrial, hospitality, educational, medical, technology and other related investments in Augusta. Our goal is to make sure your project happens. As an independent and creative driver of our city’s economy, we do whatever it takes to make our partners, and our community, successful.

Level Up Business Academy is a 6-month course for small business owners to accelerate growth opportunities through education, counseling and resources. The Academy runs January - June. Classes are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month and feature speakers specifically selected for their expertise and knowledge in entrepreneurial strategy.

The mission of the Downtown Development Authority of Augusta is to improve the economy of Augusta-Richmond County by coordinating an aggressive public/private program to promote the redevelopment and growth of Downtown Augusta.

"With 18 locations across the state, the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center’s goal is to enhance the economic well-being of Georgians by providing a wide range of educational services for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs."

With over 100 activities each year, GABCC engages with over 1000+ individuals at various events and activities throughout the nation. Each month we reach over 5,000 influencers via our social media networks, e-marketing distribution, website, and other digital media outlets.

Our nationally recognized, industry credentialing model helps incubators, accelerators, and community ESOs access federal workforce funding to sustain operations while also assessing the short and long term economic impact of their entrepreneurship programming. 

Augusta offers various types of incentives to encourage revitalization of distressed communities under provisions of the Official Code of Georgia and the Rules of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. These incentives are available for businesses that are located within the Tax Allocation District, (O.C.G.A. 36-44-8), Enterprise Zones (O.C.G.A. 36-88) and Opportunity Zones (D.C.A. rules 110-24-1).
